Our preservation efforts apply to all published versions, including:
- Final published articles (Version of Record)
- Supplementary datasets, multimedia files, and appendices
- Article metadata, including DOIs, keywords, abstracts, and author information
- Editorial content, announcements, and policy documents
Current Archiving Mechanisms
Internet Archive – Wayback Machine
All journal content is regularly captured and preserved via the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, an independent, non-profit digital library.
This ensures:
- Long-term accessibility of website snapshots
- Preservation of historical versions of published content
- Continued availability in case of website downtime, hosting changes, or unforeseen technical failures
The Wayback Machine serves as an important preservation layer, offering publicly available archived snapshots that safeguard the continuity of our digital presence.
Our Preservation Commitments
Archives of ISPRM is dedicated to maintaining the integrity and availability of all published content by ensuring:
Permanent Access
All published articles remain accessible indefinitely, regardless of changes in technological environments, publishing platforms, or journal operations.
Redundancy and Survivability
Multiple independent preservation systems ensure content survives:
- Server failures
- Software updates or migration
- Platform transitions
- Organizational or administrative changes
Stable and Citable Scholarly Record
Each article is assigned a persistent Digital Object Identifier (DOI), ensuring:
- Permanent, unbroken citation links
- Consistent discoverability through indexing services
- Long-term authentication of the Version of Record
Format Sustainability
We employ publishing formats and metadata standards designed for long-term digital preservation, ensuring accessibility even as online technologies evolve.
Commitment to Transparency and Improvement
This policy will be periodically reviewed and updated as we:
- Join additional archiving and preservation networks
- Implement new industry standards
- Adopt emerging best practices in digital preservation
Our goal is to exceed baseline preservation requirements and continue strengthening the reliability and endurance of our archival infrastructure.
Licensing and Intellectual Property
